Getting Started

This website is for McIntire students studying abroad for a full semester to submit host institution courses for UVA transfer credit approval. All students must submit planned study abroad courses for pre-approval through this site. The timing of course availability varies by host institution, so there are two windows per term when this system will accept course submissions. Students are strongly advised to submit their courses during the first window for their term, with the second window available for final approvals and add/drop changes.

All McIntire students accepted to a semester abroad program must obtain approval through this system for all courses to be taken abroad, including those used for concentration/track requirements or electives (Commerce and non-Commerce). For non-Commerce majors/minors, courses to be used for majors/minors outside of McIntire must have UVA departmental approval on a McIntire Transfer of Credit form. Note: Courses may not be used to satisfy more than one requirement. For example, a course may not be taken to satisfy a McIntire requirement and a second major or minor requirement. However, a course that double-counts for both a concentration and track at McIntire (e.g. COMM 4522 Business Analytics for the IT concentration and Business Analytics track) will also count that way if taken abroad. Other business courses will transfer as Commerce business electives under COMM 3551, which counts toward ICE requirements.

Previously Approved Course List

Review the list of previously approved courses, which shows what requirement each course was approved for and when that approval expires. If approval has expired, the course will need to be re-evaluated.
